Automated, Robotic Operation of Arsenal:

  • Feeding parts to the robot with the entry conveyor featuring dynamic accumulation and dimensional validation of their identity
  • Automatic loading and execution of machining programs on the CNC
  • Automatic positioning of vacuum pods on the CNC to provide the support corresponding to the workpiece size
  • Loading the part by placing it at its origins over vacuum pods
  • Securing the workpiece by pushing it on vacuum pods over its entire surface to ensure proper clamping
  • CNC machining
  • Unloading the completed part including a cleaning sequence by blowing air all over it using the robot
  • Accumulation in the cell with a capacity of up to 150 pieces depending on the available floor space
  • Parts evacuation on the exit conveyor with dynamic accumulation
  • Automatic workpiece flipping (option)
  • Robotic management of a dowel inserter (option)
  • Supplying and unloading by piles (option)

Arsenal Integrates Perfectly into your Production!

The cell offers continuous machining thanks tothe pendulum mode which allows the robot to continue loading/unloading the CNC without interrupting its work on the second zone of the pendulum!

  • Suitable for batch size one production, because each of the 2 areas of the pendulum can receive a different program for each part to be processed!
  • Identification of parts at the system entrance in coordination with your IT data management system or with your MES
  • Precise positioning of parts on the machine
  • Parts accumulation inside the cell before or after machining
  • Automated outfeed with the possibility of grouping the parts according to the desired ordering

Robot Vacuum Gripper

Designed by Automatech, the vacuum gripping tool is a major asset of Arsenal which makes it a unique robotic solution for managing a CNC pod & rail.

Accumulation of Parts inside the Robotic Cell

To ensure continuity of operations and the requested sequencing of parts at the exit, the robot can accumulate and consolidate parts inside the cell using two structures designed for this purpose:

  • “L” structure, for small parts
  • Accumulation wall, for long parts

Parts Flipping Option

The automated part flipping feature greatly reduces the risk of injury for your workers when it is required to turn large panels.

When required, the robotic cell will automatically flip parts in the desired orientation at the exit or for the machining on the CNC pod & rail.

Human-Machine Interface (HMI)

A simple interface entirely designed and developed by Automatech that provides an intuitive view and management of ongoing robotic production:
